As forecast it rained overnight and the dogs just had a quick walk during a lull
After the brief walkies we put them in the car and set off on a search for a Mulching mower as the one we have is not coping with the field well. Rather nasty driving conditions in the fog which showed up that some cars have really weak tail lights
We stopped off at Waitrose the newly built store on the Eastern side of Truro - if we'd have stayed in Tresillian it would have only been a couple of miles away from home - I'm not a great fan but there was a Great Cornish Food Store which I gather was part of the planning approval (Local produce) Bought a load of Boddingtons Berries Strawberry Conserve for the complementary Oamaru Barn cream tea
The beautiful valley - owned (I think) by The Duchy of Cornwall and it has been spoiled by the Waitrose Store and a huge Park & Ride and the replacement dwellings somewhat resemble the other developments The Duchy has built
We parked at the lay-by and walked the dogs alongside the river - sadly the tide was out
I think you can see why I yearned for a turquoise sea - even when the tide comes in the water is brown with the mud
Tilly arrived in Tresillian at around 14 weeks old and this was her twice daily walk
Horse Chestnut blossom
Bless ! I assume she remembers it
When the tide is out you can see the size of the Tresillian River as it flows down to join The Fal & The Truro River
Several Shelducks feeding in the mud - they sweep their beaks side to side
Wonderful Spring colours again
Lovely Briar Rose
High tide after we got home
Quite a big swell pushing up Cudden Point after the wind
